Film Society president Shannon Valentine will be working on a film profiling participants in the upcoming "Natural Muscle" show. (Does anyone remembers "Pumping Iron"?!)
It was held April 13, 2002 at the Mc Pherson Theatre, Victoria BC

Mel Dobres, film liaison to the Vancouver Island Film Association (VIFA) has been attending meetings in Nanaimo and Campbell River.
Productions have been scouting the Island, and the film industry has finally "discovered" our area! Look out for some major productions to be shooting around the area in 2002! We wish to thank the local Juan de Fuca Economic Development Commission for funding for membership in this Association.

Linda Gordon represented the Film Society at the Flower & Garden Show in 2001 at Royal Roads. Why? Linda replies: "Well, Sooke has so many lovely gardens and people wishing to have their gardens as locations for the film industry. Also, it was an excellent opportunity to get the word out about the Film Festival"
